The Many Faces of Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Squamous Cell Carcinoma accounts for 90% of all oral malignancies. Its’ presentation comes in different forms. Understanding this is the first step in recognition and treatment of all suspicious lesions (even if it was checked before). Early detection saves lives especially in understanding the poor survival rates of early to advanced cancerous lesions.

The goal of this course is to visually illustrate the different forms of Squamous Cell Carcinoma and to list risk factors to prepare you for your next patient. I also review hopeful therapy that could help patients survive this without resective surgery.
